Porsche Diagnostics With PIWIS
We run PIWIS, the factory tester Porsche dealers use. Very few independent shops have it, and on a modern Porsche it is close to essential.
These cars are as module-dependent as anything else built in Germany, and more sensitive than most about what has been configured correctly. PIWIS reads Porsche-specific fault codes across every control unit, runs the manufacturer's guided diagnostics, and performs the adaptations and resets a repair requires afterwards. A generic scanner reads the powertrain and leaves the rest of the car unread.
It also means we can tell you what is actually wrong before quoting. On a Porsche the gap between a sensor and the component it monitors can be several thousand dollars, and that is not a distinction worth guessing at.

Porsche specifies particular oil approvals, and on these engines the specification is not a suggestion. We service to the approval your engine requires, reset the interval properly, and handle brake fluid, coolant and transmission fluid on the schedule the car actually calls for rather than a generic one.
Brakes deserve their own mention. Porsche brake systems are expensive and they are also the system most affected by how the car is driven, so we measure and show you rather than recommending on age alone. Routine work happens here too: brake repair, tires and wheel alignment, and oil changes.

Porsches run tighter alignment tolerances than most road cars and frequently use staggered tire setups with different sizes front and rear. Fitting something merely similar, or aligning to a generic specification, changes how the car behaves in a way an owner will feel immediately.
Low-profile tires also transmit far more of a pothole strike into the wheel and suspension, which matters on Scarborough roads in spring. If you have hit something hard, it is worth having the alignment and the wheels checked rather than waiting for uneven wear to show up.

Can you align a Porsche to factory specification?

We align to the specification your model requires and will tell you if a wheel or suspension component is bent rather than simply adjusting around it.
